How Asia Miles value is calculated
The method is the same for every programme: take the cash fare you would genuinely have bought, subtract the taxes and carrier-imposed surcharges you still pay on the award, then divide by the miles spent. That gives cents per mile. Multiply it by your balance to get an estimated value.

Economy awards usually land near the conservative end of the range, because the cash fare you are displacing is cheap. Buy, sell or redeem Asia Miles?
