- Can expired Aeroplan points be sold?
- No. Once points have lapsed they no longer exist to transfer. Points remain valid while the account records qualifying activity within the programme's stated inactivity window. Confirm the current rule directly with Air Canada before relying on it.
- Should I redeem my Aeroplan points instead?
- In most cases, yes. Aeroplan value is easiest to model on partner long-haul business class, where the distance-based chart can be markedly cheaper than an equivalent cash fare. If you have no plausible redemption within the programme's validity window, a sale becomes worth considering.
